Top 3 Nature Places To Visit with Your Kids in Kuala Lumpur

Getting kids out into nature is a great way to encourage their curiosity, creativity, and love of the outdoors. We’re going to explore the best natural places that are perfect for families. So pack your sunscreen, bring your camera, and let's explore the natural wonders of KL with your kids!

1. FRIM (Forest Research Institute Malaysia)

FRIM is a research centre and park that offers nature trails and canopy walks. The admission fee is from RM8 to RM15 per person. One of the parks under FRIM is Kepong Botanic Gardens (KBG). KBG is the centre for living plant collections.

One of the attractions there is Forest Skywalk, which is FRIM’s second canopy walkway. Your families can spend time walking and enjoying the panoramic views.  Kids can spend quality time with parents exploring the greenery while maintaining a healthy body.

Taman Eko Rimba KL is located near the heart of Kuala Lumpur. The park is home to flora and fauna unique to Malaysia’s tropical rainforest. The best part is it is free and suited for family outdoor activities where you can camp and hike. Kids can explore and increase their knowledge about the real world.

Your child will be inspired to learn more about the world around them, from trees to flowers. This activity can also help release stress while creating beautiful memories together.

3. Taman Tugu

Taman Tugu is a public park and conservation site that is free of charge. A fascinating activity you can do with your kids here is to join their Nature Educational Program (NEP). It is a 2-hour session where you and your kids create a moment to learn about the environment, join a gardening workshop and take a short jungle walk.

Taking kids close to nature can teach them awareness about conserving mother nature. Exploring nature will also stimulate their creativity and imagination because it is an unstructured style of play that allows kids to interact meaningfully with their surroundings.

Discover these outdoor nature places with your families and create this monthly routine for your family to encourage the young ones to become nature lovers.
